Hi, I’m Cristina Rivera, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) based in Massachusetts. I’ve always been drawn to deep conversations, the kind where people feel seen, heard, and just a little lighter after. With a master's degree in social work and years of experience supporting individuals through life’s ups and downs, I’ve made it my mission to help women feel more grounded, connected, and in control of their lives.
I specialize in working with women navigating early adulthood through midlife transitions who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally stuck. Many of my clients are juggling demanding roles as students, professionals, mothers, or caregivers, and are dealing with challenges such as overthinking, low self-esteem or motivation, relationship/family stress, and life transitions (new job or maybe a breakup!)
They’re often high functioning on the outside but struggling quietly with loneliness, racing thoughts, or a constant sense of “not enough.” They're ready to talk things through, try new strategies, and show up for themselves in a deeper way.
Therapy with me is collaborative, supportive, and real. I blend talk therapy with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand their emotions, break free from unhelpful thought patterns, and build practical tools they can actually use outside of session.
I ask thoughtful questions that invite reflection and insight but also give plenty of space for you to talk things through at your own pace. Whether we’re unpacking a difficult relationship, managing day-to-day stress, or building healthier habits, we’ll work together to help you move forward with more clarity, confidence, and calm.
